Manna Academy

Get to know us!

Rated Delaware Stars 5, Manna Academy is a Christian community focused school  that has been in existence since July 2009. We offer classes year round, and our committed to provide for your child's future. We are here for you and look forward to meeting you and your child!

          Mission & Approach

Our mission is to provide quality Christian childcare for families in our surrounding communities. Manna Academy works hard to keep the needs of each child first at all times. Though all children have different personalities, likes, and dislikes, all children have an inborn motivation to learn. We try to nurture each child so they will grow to be independent thinkers and learners. Through discovery and exploratory activities, students are motivated to work at their own pace, making learning fun and a lifelong experience. These meaningful educational experiences will help to shape each student mentally, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

OUR TEACHERS & STAFF

Each of our teachers share with each child the loving spirit of Jesus Christ. When we reinforce character traits like respect, honesty, perseverance, courage, faith and love, we teach them biblical principles that will live with them for the rest of their lives. We are called to “train a child in the way that they should go”, knowing that “when they grow older, they will not depart from it”. Manna Academy desires to help guide the lives of each child closer to God’s will for them. Our loving teachers, staff and high expectations make that desire a reality.
We encourage parent involvement. As a parent, you can be as involved as you would like to be. No matter what your level of involvement, look forward to conversations and other communication with your child’s teachers and the Director. Written reports are provided on your child’s education and progress.

PARENT TEACHER COUNCIL

We love to connect with you about your childs growth!

In an effort to upgrade the academy, Manna Academy has elected to establish a Parent Teacher Council to assist in making and keeping Manna Academy and excellent place of learning. The purpose of this council is to participate, enhance our learning center and to serve as a voice for the parents and teachers to Manna Academy. Their responsibility will be to rally parent involvement in all aspects of the center’s growth (i.e. quality and effective fundraisers, parental participation in the center’s activities as well as community activities within the New Castle County area). The Council will serve as a liaison in assisting the Manna Academy in handling various matters when requested.

The Parent Teacher Council will consist of the  Child Care Director, Child Care Curriculum Coordinator, and Teacher Representative. The Parent Teacher Council will also consist of  interested parents that are dedicated to give their time to ensure that the purpose is fulfilled. At the beginning of each school year, a parent will be elected in each class to serve as Class Representative who will be responsible for keeping parents informed of upcoming events and fundraisers.
